About Pierre:

Pierre St Jacques is originally from Montreal, Canada and became a United States citizen in 1999. He has represented the USA at numerous international competitions in North America and Europe with several different horses. His current partner FEI partner is Lucky Tiger, a 17 year old Danish bred gelding. Pierre and “Tiger” as he is known around the barn have been together since 2000. Pierre and Lucky Tiger had great success at the Prix St Georges level earning many wins which led them to a place on the 2003 Pan American Games Team where they earned a team gold medal. Pierre and Lucky Tiger have now become solid Grand Prix Competitors with many top placings. In 2009 Lucky Tiger and Pierre placed 1st at the Zada Cup Grand Prix, 1st at the Dressage on The First Coast Grand Prix, 1st at the Lamplight CDI Grand Prix, 1st at Lamplight CDI Grand Prix Special, 2nd at Raleigh CDI Grand Prix, and 2nd at the Raleigh CDI Grand Prix Freestyle. They then finished off the 2009 season with the Reserve Champion Title from the Festival of Champions and a second place finish in the Grand Prix at Dressage at Devon.

In 2010, Pierre and Lucky Tiger went on to show that they were solid international competitors with a third place finish at the Gold Coast Opener CDI Grand Prix and a second at the Wellington Classic Dressage CDI Grand Prix. These top finishes earned them an invitation to the World Dressage Masters where they placed eighth in the Grand Prix and fourth in the Grand Prix Special. Pierre and Lucky Tiger went on to compete at the Festival of Champions and World Equestrian Games Selection Trials where they finished fifth overall to earn a place on the US dressage team as reserve alternate. Pierre and Lucky Tiger trained with the US team during the fall and performed the test rides for all three tests at the 2010 WEG in Lexington, KY.

Pierre and Lucky Tiger had a great season in 2011 with wins in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special at the IHS Horse Park in Wellington, FL in January and a second place finish in the Grand Prix at the Wellington Classic Dressage Spring CDI in February. Pierre and Lucky Tiger competed at the World Dressage Masters in March and placed second in the Grand Prix Special. Pierre then welcomed his son into the world in June 2011.

Pierre and Lucky Tiger had many wins and success’ in 2012 which led to them being invited to the Olympic Selection Trials and Festival of Champions. Pierre and Lucky Tiger earned two all time high scores and personal bests with a 69.999% in the Grand Prix Special and a 71.34% in the Grand Prix. Pierre and Lucky Tiger finished in eighth overall and were the seventh ranked pair named to the US Olympic Team.
